By definition, something invisible is something you cannot see. In vendor finance, an ‘invisible' is something that the financier may not necessarily want you to see. There is a huge difference.

  2. Will the finance provider want ownership of the equipment upon expiry?
     
  3. Will the finance provider compete with you in the portfolio management of your client base?
     
  4. Will the finance provider view your client base as their client base?
     
  5. Will the finance provider hold back on-going information regarding the status of your portfolio?
     
  6. Will the finance provider pay commissions to your salespeople without your knowledge?
     
  7. Will the finance provider increase any cost per usage charges without your consent?
     
  8. Will the finance provider pass on any/all cost per usage charges to you without set-off?
     
  9. Will the finance provider use portfolio information without your knowledge or advice?
     
  10. Will the finance provider proceed without discussing each of these issues with you?
     

 For each of these pivotal questions, SER's response is an emphatic ‘no'.

We seek relationships that last and if these questions are not asked, answered, and understood, then the vendor and the vendor's client base are left exposed.
